Samsung Team Green
This behemoth of a project resulted in 9 videos, each with dozens of adapted versions and aspect ratios. Samsung and Bloomberg teamed up with Kingdom of Something to showcase the climate actions that Samsung has been taking towards a greener world. They did so with Team Green, a team of climate activists, each of whom represented a different concentration.
I was involved in the project from conception through to completion. I began with design work for Jacques and Willow, then moved on to storyboards and animatics. For Jacques I was also heavily involved with animation, fully animating multiple shots for all 4 of the films he was shown in.

Jacques - Design, Storyboards, Animation
Of the four characters we focused on, only one of them was fully cel animated. I was involved early on the in the process, starting with design and concept of the character. Jacques had to be a water animal, since that was the type of eco science he was portraying. I then moved on to the storyboards and animatic, and finally the cel animation.
Jacques has been many different animals during his development, including an orca, a whaleshark, capybara, and an otter. There was even a possibility of him becoming a stuffed animal. In the end we landed on a stork.
Willow - Design and Storyboards
Although the Willow character was animated in 3D, I was able to have a hand in her design. I also helped to direct her animation. This meant doing providing guides for the 3d animators to make sure the animators hit the lip sync correctly, as well as providing a detailed animatic of her movements and expressions.
